Brit found her passion for ceramic when she was lost. She loved ceramics but was working full-time, going to school full-time and always broke.
After moving to Austin, something still wasn’t clicking and she was always searching for something else. It turned out that what was she was searching for was the creative aspect of her life that she cut out so many years ago - her love of ceramics.
She enrolled in a ceramics class and felt like she was finally moving forward, falling back in love with ceramics all over again. She knew she wanted to make a career of out of it and made the move to Memphis. “Now, I get to spend everyday doing what I love, and I couldn’t be happier,” says Brit.
Influenced by Scandinavian design, she looks to a lot of American Mid-Century designers as well. Each of her pieces is handmade with careful attention to detail, and with usability in mind.
"Essentially, I try to create the pieces that I want to have and use in my own home, and it’s so rewarding when someone else wants my work in their house too!"
